WALNUT & CHOCOLATE CHIP BANANA BREAD

This banana bread has been a hit! FOR MORE RECIPES/CONTENT VISIT MY INSTAGRAM & TIKTOK: @cookingwithchrissyp Ingredients: 3 ripe-overripe Bananas 2 eggs ½ cup Blu Estate’s Reserve EVOO Vanilla Bean paste, generous squeeze 2 cups Plain Flour 1 cup Brown Sugar ½ cup Dark Chocolate Chips ½ cup Walnuts, chopped ¾ tsp ground Cinnamon 1tsp Baking Soda 1tsp Baking Powder ½ tsp Salt Method: 1. Pre-heat oven to 160oC. Line a loaf tin with baking paper and set aside. 2. Peel the bananas, place onto a plate and use a fork to squash them into a smooth consistency. Add to your mixing bowl, followed by the eggs. Whisk to combine. Add Blu Estate’s Reserve EVOO and vanilla bean paste, whisk again to combine. 3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Mix these dry ingredients together and then fold into the wet ingredients. Once combined, add the chocolate chips and walnuts and fold into the mixture. 4. Pour the mixture into your prepared loaf tin and bake for approximately 60-70 minutes (baking time may vary depending on your oven). Check the cooking progress by inserting a skewer into the banana bread, if it comes out clean its ready. 5. Leave the banana bread in the load tin for roughly 10 minutes before removing. 6. Enjoy hot or at room temperature. This banana bread pairs nicely with your morning tea or coffee.
