@shynew.24327 years ago I despise how so many of these interviewers try to downplay Chris Pine's Steve Trevor as a sidekick or a "backseat" character. Diana wouldnt be where she is today/wouldn't have made the same choices without him & also he saved thousands of lives. His character proved that love doesn't make you weak (a major theme of WW) and that a superhero romance story doesn't have to be the same sacrificial, boring plot over and over. He, even though he was the 'love interest', made a selfless sacrificed and did prove himself to be a hero, though he didn't have powers and wasn't the center of the film. Show some respect! Lol ... 48

@rainhademaio29317 years ago They always despise Chris in the interviews, but when you see the movie you know how essential it is and yes I ship much Gal with Chris, their chemistry simply exists and is perfect, Diana and Steve was consequence 94

@saintgirluk7 years ago love how chris pine really doesn't care. I think he genuinely would take a secondary role to have fun and do a movie he wants to. If he had always gone for the biggest roles he would be an even bigger star now but I like him so much more because he has done the opposite and ends up in roles he wants to do. ... 6

@LNatureblush7 years ago Yes, they have been asking the question of having a female director so much. What happened to being a great director regardless of sex, age, and color? I love how Chris answered that question..."Just by virtue of the question, it just shows how far we have to go in the world..." Loved it. They are so cute together. ... 85

@tinaxoxo337 years ago I think Chris Pine just wanted Gal to be the leading lady and take on the questions like the badass she is. I appreciate that he didn't overstep or try to take over the interview. It didn't seem curt or rude, he was just letting Gal shine in the spotlight. ... 4

@manugutierrez23945 years ago He is into her and said it in almost every interview more than any co star he worked with.. He said that in most interviews "I got to fall in love with Gal" not Diana or wonder the characters.
"She's one of the most beautiful women I ever seen " in kimmels show.. can't blame him she's everything u can ask for 💗

@Samy.10VE7 years ago Chris Pine is amazing, he's probably tired but I love how gal sometimes touches his shoulder when she's unsure about some words, didn't like the interviewers question to Chris I feel like he was the human hero and she's the super hero ... 6

@christophermullally277 years ago The criticism of this interview is just ridiculous. By virtue of being a woman, the director can bring a different perspective to a movie that a male director couldn't. In a movie about a strong female superhero, and this is the first time a woman has been given the opportunity to do a big studio superhero movie, this is super important. Anyone that thinks that a female director doesn't bring a fundamental shift in perspective, should go back and watch Halle Berry's Catwoman. A woman fundamentally understands what it means to be a woman better than a man. Further, this movie is unique because it inverts the gender roles. Chris Pine playing a supporting role, is different and significant! It's not a shot at him to try to talk about the importance of that, and the way that it alters the whole movie for the better. ... 44

@user-zw6co9ok3t7 years ago seriously those are your questions? feminism isnt about putting men in the backseat it's about equality man no wonder chris looked annoyed 7

@u2ube7037 years ago those questions had some sexist undertones. real jerk move. chris and gal did a great job with their answers and not let themselves get trapped

@Nah-ah7 years ago I love how she looks to Chris for reassurance with her pronunciations of words. Gorgeous Gal! 🤗If she wasn't married I'd ship her and Pine! 😉 1

@eilyn5106 years ago They have such good chemistry, I wish Gal is single 😁 2
  • @
@yoaraangelie7 years ago Yes, just by the virtue of the question we can see how far the world has to go for it to not be a sexist one. But sadly, we're on this time where it's rare to have a woman as a director of a movie that became extremely popular mainly because it has a strong female character that's a badass and is never shown as a "female in distress". We have to acknowledge that it's a huge change & a huge step for the world to become one where it's so common ppl don't think twice of it. So for me the interviewer didn't do anything wrong & Chris's answer was perfect. ... 5

@incloudnine7 years ago Chris Pine looks bored and miserable here. The interviewer did not have good questions 111

@Nah-ah7 years ago Thank you Chris! ''She's a great director that just so happens to be a woman'' (in reference to Patti as a female director) 1
  • @
@sophierice41677 years ago What a sexist interview holy shit. They would never ask a woman how she felt about being second to the male superhero. It's like they are trying to get him to say he was emasculated by not being the one with powers. Crazy shit. He stood up for himself and for Gal though so good job Chris. ... 67

@emilycunningham81257 years ago is something in Chris's ear? 6
  • @
@alexpc657 years ago Chris Pine is an EXCELLENT actor, because Steve is charming, fun, charismatic and likeable, but Pine is conceited, boring and dull. He always seems like he doesn't want to be there during interviews. Gal is a sweetheart both on screen and in real life. ... 4
  • @
@juliatorres12627 years ago The interviewer commented on Pines having to take a back seat and not have the main role a few times and even asked how they felt about having a woman director. Such trivial questions. Wasted everyone's time. 9

@LuisAFvWetzler7 years ago Chris Pine is wearing a pijama for this interview not a shirt indeed, quite funny to see it. He is a great actor but he was there only to fill a chair not to answer questions of any kind.

@guileniam7 years ago I can explain the weird atmosphere here. She is an ex-isreali army girl. This channel is a very pro-arab one, which makes awkwardness. Chris is tired as hell from promoting movies all the way through the year.

@roninpainbringer7 years ago "Speech mimicry and behavioral mimicry: Are they using the same words you use? Speaking at a similar speed and tone? Are they sitting the way you sit? Is a subtle, unconscious game of follow-the-leader going on? This is a sign the other person feels emotionally in sync with you. It can be faked but that’s rare and difficult to pull off consistently across a conversation." ... 1
