@monstar44 years ago One of my favorite parts in this show was when Nellie faked having broken her legs. Laura knew she was lying, so she pushed Nellie in her wheelchair into a lake. XD 1652

@alexandrakimbink31984 years ago Willie has cracking me up when he says "I'm sorry, I'm so used to it being me" when he goes to the corner although Nellie is the one who should go there. 576

@caj11193 years ago The transformation of Nellie and Willie on this show over the years was truly amazing - by the sixth season Nellie practically became a decent and fully functioning adult, and Willie turned out to be very nice person who cared about having a clear conscience. ... 207

@Me-wk3ix4 years ago I love that in real life the little girl who played Nelie was extremely shy and nothing at all like her character. 82
  • @
@JMFabiano5 years ago What's funny is Alison Arngrim is really nice IRL. Met her weeks ago. 282
  • @
@ruyekahatori30734 years ago what about when she made the girl with a stutter recite a tongue twister to join her 'club' just to humiliate her? And when she made fun of Olga for being crippled 254
  • @
@terrypetersen29704 years ago What was really great was how the cast got along. I read that in real life that snobby, vindictive girl is actually one of the nicest persons you'll ever meet. 100
  • @
@noorrougelewis67044 years ago Nellie's standing there casually eating a cane cane.

  • @
@madisonharrill19354 years ago Nellie was so smart with her bullying 😂 she was so sophisticated about it 22
  • @
@markg80224 years ago The actor who played Nellie was an awfully shy child, and it resulted in her not even being able to look in the eyes of the other actors. The director, William Claxton, had a terrible time to keep reminding her to look the person in the eyes when she was speaking. You can even see it in Nellie's performance. Many times, she keeps looking downward, unable to fix her gaze. ... 206

@luxeternal12584 years ago When you love to hate the "villain" of the show you know they did a great job! 44
  • @
@barbarawittstock-bc2te9 months ago I also love it when Mr. Oelson gave Laura back the horse after she pushed Nellie down the hill in the wheelchair and then she and Jason rode away together to go fishing. She threw a fit and tore all her new stuff up 7
  • @
@jeezthatscocky31444 years ago Great acting. I really enjoyed how they wrote her in the later years. Older, and kinder. As most kids grow up, they change for the better. 76
  • @

  • @
@viviannango47304 years ago Alison Arngrim is such a wonderful actress and a nice person. Her real life wasn't easy. I love her book, I cant put it down. 17
  • @
@christophermarzian66083 years ago If you ever see her outside her Nelly character, she is the sweetest person. That scene where the girl sells her hair to buy her mother a dress is so touching. 30

@rubymist434 years ago I think many of my favorite Nellie episodes was when she met and married Percivil. I was very sorry to hear he died, in real life. I believe he was only 34 when he died. 46

@kamdav18922 years ago This show had the best child actors. They all were so talented 5
  • @
@madisonlewe10574 years ago What I love about the show was that the bullies almost always got what was coming to them. I shouldn’t be as amused by Nellie repeatedly getting punched in the face by Laura as I am 22
  • @
@thebusybee9574 years ago The Talking Machine was the nastiest Nellie moment imo. 66
  • @
@kericougar70024 years ago I have a cousin that acts just like Nellie. 49
  • @
@33igon4 years ago I bet she was cast immediately after her audition. Damn she played that character perfect! 18
  • @
@AaronSaltzer4 years ago Laura finally got tired of Nellie picking on her and she gave her what she deserved on numerous occasions. No one else seemed to stand up to her and Harriet was no help with her pampering. Nels was a better parent. 23

@roguejester49864 years ago Whenever I see Nellie humiliated or sad, that was the moment I smile the most. 28
  • @
@charlenejones51524 years ago Such a well written show- Nellie always made the show fun to watch- as kid I couldn’t wait to see her scenes on tv 8
  • @
@lucille19195 years ago Can't think of a single show where Nelly didn't get her comeuppance in the end. Mrs. Oleson and Willie were pretty hilarious also. Mrs. Olson was so over-the-top mean- like mother like daughter. And Willie was mean but sometimes he made such deliriously funny self-deprecating comments. At school he was always getting sent to the corner. So often that sometimes he would say to the teacher "I know, I know go stand in the corner." ... 48

@garykuovideos3 months ago After years of watching, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Alison Arngrim and Melissa Gilbert were close friends both on and off the set. Thank you, cast and crew, for a fantastic show! 1

@charlescurtis77924 years ago . Nellie didn't need a whipping, she needed an exorcist and the ghost adventures team.🤣🤣🤣🤣 5

  • @
@Lavender_Cordle4 years ago And to think in real life, Melissa (Laura) and Alison (Nellie) were like sisters. ❤️ 37
  • @
@srkh89664 years ago I loved to hate Nellie as much as anyone, but I feel terrible that the actress actually had people come up to her on the street and call her names, spit at her, and make threats 15
  • @
@teamcougars7 months ago And the reality is they were and still are the best of friends ❤❤ 1
  • @
@allknowingoracle32774 years ago It was a travesty that Nellie, Mrs Oleson and Mary weren't in the final episode. My 3 fave female characters for different reasons. 9
  • @
@sashek84513 years ago I remember despising Nellie soooo much as a kid 😂😂😂 such a great actress, was Melissa Gilbert. I actually looked a lot like her as a child and was about the same age while watching, I think that made me identify with the character even more while watching. ... 5

@nodustbunny58713 years ago Nellie is the Queen of Shade lol! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 2
  • @
@satanclaus83814 years ago You have to admire Nellie. No matter how many times she gets knocked down she keeps coming back for more. 2
  • @
@kylearcher14514 years ago When Katheryn McGregor was given the roll of Mrs. Olson, Michael Landon told her that the character was very rich and a little bitchy. Katherine said, “Well yea... I can play that.” 🤣
And she did!!! She played it to the hilt!!!! 👍🏼👍🏼

@realpine3 years ago nelli and mrs olson actresses i respect and appreciate a lot!! i hated them but at my 60 i understand their role of being hated. 1
  • @
@eduardo_corrochio5 years ago Love Nellie, love Harriet. The Olesons often brought the best comedy relief to this series (a show which could sometimes get incredibly sad or tragic, lol). I thoroughly enjoyed Alison's book "Confessions of a Prairie Bitch". Very good stuff. ... 19
  • @
@petegtorcan4 years ago As a kid I hated her. As a teen and adult I LOVED her 😏😆 In real life Melissa Gilbert and she were friends. Both disliked Melissa Sue Anderson. ... 70

    "So does a mule".
    Lol. Iconic queen.
  • @
@deeks19704 years ago I absolutely love Alison Arngrim. She’s the best!💕
How is it possible that the actors on this show were rarely Emmy worthy? Especially Katherine MacGregor that portrayed Mrs. Olseson. She was fantastic! The Waltons got a bunch of Emmys. I loved the Waltons, but they can’t hold a candle to Little House.😒 ...

  • @
@blissfullyunaware41754 years ago I HATE Nellie! I’ve always hated her! She’s a perfect picture of every girl who was ever cruel to me! 22
  • @
@josephrocha14210 months ago That Nellie! Always causing drama and I love it. 😂
  • @
@smittysmeee2 years ago Aw man, these are not lowlights, they're highlights. We all loved to hate Nellie! Alison Arngrim was, and still is, a genius. She was treated poorly by fans who were too young to understand she was playing a role, but she was able to laugh at it, and she used Nellie's strength to help herself through a very hard childhood. Watching Nellie mature into a decent, hardworking, kind wife and mother throughout the series was so satisfying. ... 3
  • @
@longothi50422 years ago Nellie is very funny. But my favourite part in this video is when Willie accidentally stands in the corner with Nellie 5
  • @
@SouthSideLadyWright3 years ago I like when Laura pushed Nellie down and told her Pa. Laura told her Pa she won't fight Nellie anymore because Nellie was scared of Laura now 🤣🤣🤣😂😂 2

@tigertbalm4 years ago Even as a kid I wondered why they couldn't get a smaller stunt woman for Nellie. 8
  • @
@thierrydevant76904 years ago I loved Nellie, she was perfect and so as Mrs Olson, loved them all. 2
