@rcaviationgamingandrealwor93924 years agoYep, i agree with the 49" using a 50" monitor and a 49" monitor with an additional vertical dell 27" monitor. Now waiting for my newly purchase pc hardware from newegg to arrive. I started creating a youtube page and an enhanced cockpit as yours. So much to do, so much $ but it will be worth it at the end. ...Expand1

@wlbear25704 years agoHi buddy, I see you have a vrinsight combo. How did you make it work with the new sim? I manage to make it work with p3d v4 with LINDA but no drivers are yet available for the new sim. I believe are developing one though. VRinsight hardware is fantastic but the tech support is virtually non existent and havent updated the drivers since 2016. Nice setup btw .....Expand

@vscolkitt2 years agoHave you considered assigning " landing view" amp; " normal view" on your alpha yoke? I assigned these to my alpha yoke, button 1 and i believe the real cessna 172 cockpit panel is about 40 inches in width, so the real 172' s windshield is probably a little wider, maybe around 44" so a 49" monitor isn' t too extreme from the real thing? It' d probably be just about perfect with a little bit more curved radius) anyhow, love your commentaries! have you considered building a cockpit panel to display your radios? The altimeter motive' s laser cut panel includes: bezeled instrument cutouts. Rotary knobs. An arduino board (to run all the rotary knobs for the instruments that use them) and a clock with working buttons. It sells for around $400. My 24" monitor ran around $200 (1920x1080) air manager about $85? Probably the best money i' ve ever spent for the truestsimulator. ...Expand

@marcusmaunula50184 years agoI used my tv for awhile (55 inch 4k) but i realise that you also need a powerful card to drive it properly. I am ok with my regular screen for now, until i get a better gfx card.
4 years agoI found the cabin views pretty easy to save. i have about a half dozen buttons mapped to various custom views. Using ctrl+alt+1/2/3 etc i can id="hidden9" easily save to whichever button i want and change them on the fly in a heartbeat. I never played any other flight sim though so i don' t know if or how they do it better. ...Expand2

@DownTheRabbit-Hole3 years agoI agree about mfs view system. The external views are the worst. Unpredictable, clunky and disjointed. Using 2 or 3 keys to access custom views is dumb. because mfs is not a true multi-monitor, 49 is best. Definitely need the track ir tho. I still feel the best sim experience is 3 wide with air manager touchscreen below with knobster. This does not require a tracking system. I fly on pilotedge ifr where ther is lots of twisting. I have no need for mouse or keyboard. I use g10 pfd/mfd fms keypad, g700 ap. In x-plane i use phenom 300. I am rw pilot and istructor. Air manager has been released for mfs but it stutters when pfd/mfd are popped out. Not ready for primetime, yet. God luck. ...Expand
