Post the terrible explosion that happened in Lebanon just over a week ago, I found myself unable to process my emotions. I was experiencing this weird mixture of denial,fear, anxiety, helplessness, powerlessness, and rage. I always resorted to songwriting to help in processing and letting out my emotions and this song just flowed out naturally. It was 10:00 am and I woke up, on my bed, just screaming and brutally strumming my guitar. I was remembering everything I saw while volunteering clean up people's homes in Beirut, as well as realizing how terrible it is to be in a state where you constantly need to ask your loved ones whether they are safe and telling them to stay safe, as if it's up to them. And it all climaxed when I realized the root of this problem, the carelessness and negligence of our politicians; leaving a time bomb near the busiest area in Lebanon, fully knowing the risk of it exploding any second.
