Science Olympiad - Scrambler Brakes

My Science Olympiad scrambler brake mechanism up close.The brakes are basically a threaded rod axle with a wing nut. As axle spins the wing nut moves along the axle until it reaches the end. When it reaches the end it can't go any further, it stops the axle and wheels from spinning and thus the car also stops.
