    change the formation so players can play in positions that press from the front rather than centrally.
    go for width of forward players over either lumping it forward centrally or using the wingbacks to cross it in.
    and switching from defensive tactics to more offensive ones

    gerards formation he used at villa was literally the entire cause of his downfall, that and his continued picking o gerrard only has himself to blame. Trying to compete in the premier league without a midfield ceases to amaze me for someone who dominated the midfield in the premier league for seasons.
