PARIDHI BHANGI is the promotional song for the documentary film BREAKING THE SILENCE directed by PARTHAJIT BARUAH. About the Documentary : The documentary "Breaking the Silence" is about the first organised women musical group in Assam. The group consisting of five women- Anjali Mahanta, Nazma Ahmed, Sewali Lekharu, Kabita Nath and Arati Mahanta, who, fighting against the social taboo, did stage performance in the 1980s. They are the symbol of women voice in the patriarchal society.
