It goes into the heart of Africa 300,000 years ago. Before that, it dwells in the even older hominids. Molecular evidence suggests that between 8 and 4 million years ago, first the gorillas (genus Gorilla), and then the chimpanzees (genus Pan) split off from the line leading to the humans. And we aren't the only species complex enough to use tools and manipulate our environment way beyond building nests. 3 to 4 million years ago, Australopithecus was already wielding fire and carving meat off the bone with stone tools. This means we are simply the most advanced of a series of apes that have been roaming the earth for MILLIONS of years. Let's find out about the long evolutionary journey that led to CERN, spacex, and youtube, and hope our wisdom hasn't peaked. Thanks for watching. #ASMR ►socials...
